Global Equity Derivatives Structured Products Platform

Led an experience design team in building out a next generation client facing Global Structured Products platform. The target state includes a service based architecture and expanded client and internal user interfaces for pricing, execution, and product management.

Traveled to key global trading floors to run discovery sessions with trading leaders in Zurich, London, Frankfurt and New York

A key objective was to produce 2 globally aligned user interfaces, with a common look and feel:

  • Client UI, used by clients in US, EMEA, and Switzerland.
  • Deal Blotter an essential tool provides real time visibility into trade status, the ability to create new deals, manage post-trade alerts and life management events. Available to all key stakeholders within the deal process (sales, trading, operations, etc.)
  • All UIs share branding, common screens, and underlying functionality such as pricing.

Risk & Regulatory: CCAR

Comprehensive Capital Analysis and Review (CCAR) is an annual regulatory exercise to determine if banks operating in the United States have enough capital to continue operations through times of economic and financial stress.

I worked in close partnership with Credit Suisse to envision the digital experience to manage the CCAR process and closely with key business and technology stakeholders through the Agile UX process to identify and streamline key process workflows and envision an intuitive digital experience.

Risk & Regulatory

A comprehensive digital Capital Market trading risk investigation experience designed from the ground up. Trader Surveillance leverages real time data to provide the ability to track and rank Trader risk based on defined risk parameters.

The experience increases efficiency by consolidating data typically viewed via disparate systems and reports. Design of the Trader Surveillance’s desktop that includes user defined risk parameters and heat map based filter. Individual Trader risk score with peer comparison and timeline activity are all presented graphically.

Key insights are obtained though providing the user agency to adjust the risk parameters  changing the display which effectively zooms in on the defined values to present  relevant datasets visualizing trends.

Produced a prototype in a very compressed timeframe consisting of half of the typical amount of time.

The Brief

  • Credit Suisse

This page contains a summary of some of the product/experience design projects I have led in the Financial Services space.

These are complex multi persona products that regulate or facilitate global trading at Credit Suisse although I have worked with other major financial institutions and firms.

Due to the sensitive nature of these products and the competitive nature of global trading I am unable to publish screens to accompany these descriptions.

Headquartered in Zürich, Credit Suisse is a leading global wealth manager with strong investment banking capabilities. It maintains offices in all major financial centers around the world and provides services in investment banking, private banking, asset management, and shared services
